Why I Do What I Do

About a year and a half ago I was diagnosed with a rare kidney disease called IGA Nephropathy and LPHS. I went through months of horrible kidney pain and more tests than I want to count. At one point I had all but given up that I would find help.

The good news is that I did get help and have bad days a lot less frequently. Today unfortunately was one of those days, but it reminded me why I do what I do with my crafts.

I've been into all sorts of crafts since I could pick up a pen at the age of two, but when I was truely at the end of my roap last year I turned to crafting as therapy to get through the worst days. Just making a card made me feel like I had accomplished something in a day where I thought I couldn't do anything.

Now I focus on service and making cards for other people that are in a similar situation that I was a year ago. It means so much to know that you're not forgotten and that someone took the time to make you something hand made and special.

I don't charge for the artwork I post because I want to encourage others to craft as well. Wether you are crafting for your own therapy or to make something special for someone else, I want you to know that you can really make a difference in the life of someone else by sharing what you already love to do.

Visit one of these sites for info on how you can contribute to brighten someones day.
