Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Card

Now this card made me feel better. That mouse is just so cute!

You can find this free digi if you click on the digi button at the top of my site.  I did a Alice In Wonderland theme awhile back and this mouse was a part of it.  The stamps, including the tea cups, were a part of a Alice In Wonderland stamp set that I found on Ebay awhile back.  I love this set, but I don't use it as much as I would like.  Since this is an UNBIRTHDAY card I can really give it whenever I want to as every day EXCEPT your birthday is your UNBIRTHDAY.  So, if today is NOT your birthday....have a very merry unbirthday today!!!!

I entered this card into the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog this week.

Feeling kind of BLAH and stressed out tonight.  I made this card to try to change my mood, but I'm afraid it's not working quite yet.  I had fun playing with my digis today and my new coloring markers.  They're not Copics...which I'm kind of sad about.  I would like to get some Copics, but for some unknown reason to me my Joanns doesn't carry them.  I'll have to try to find a retailer in the area sometime.

One of those moments when I realize that velcro really is my best friend.

February Family Craft Night Project

This was our family craft night project for this month. I cut out the black pot from my Happy Hauntings Cricut cartridge. The circles were punched with my Creative Memories circle punches. The shamrocks were from my Spring Holiday Cards Cricut cartridge. We ran all the circles and sharocks through the Xyron sticker maker and covered them all with glitter. Half of the coins were adheared to the pot using my ATG gun and the other half were adheared using foam tape. We had fun making this super glittery decoration for our home.

So have you ever gone a little Scrap Happy with your paper crafting? You sit down to just do a short project and three hours later you look at the clock and wonder where the time went. Getting up to stretch you catch a glimpse of yourself and see this image...a happy crafter covered in glitter, glue and paper bits. This is what going suddenly scrap happy means to me. :-)

I was excited to get my first ever K.Andrew stamp sets today. I love to try new sets and I am very happy with this purchase.  This time I got the "Coffee & Tea For You & Me" set and the "Fashionable Friends" set.  I also got a bonus for ordering that included the "Have A Sweet Day" Sentiment that I used on my cupcake card.  There are a LOT of birthdays in my family next month, so this gave me an excuse to create some great birthday cards tonight.  I especially love the "Fashionable Friends" set as I know that I will be able to use it on a LOT of different types of cards.  You can check out the K.Andrew website for information on these stamps HERE

This purse card was created using my Gypsy and the Forever Young Cricut cartridge.  I welded two purses together to create this card.  I cut them at 6".  I cut another purse at 6" for the front layer using a scrap of Stampin Up paper left over from my Valentine's projects.  The pearls were from the dollar bargain bin at Joann's.  The circle was cut with a Creative Memories punch.  The stamp set for this card was the "Fashionable Friends" set from K.Andrew.

I used the Birthday Bash Cricut cartridge for this card.  I cut the cupcakes at 3".  I used my Sweet Treats DCWV matstack for the cupcake icing cardstock and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the way that paper made this card look.  I used the "Have A Sweet Day" sentiment from the bonus pack of stamps that I got from K.Andrew.

I used that Same DCVW Sweet Treats matstack for the paper on this card.  I love the way some of the pages have glitter swirls. This ads a great effect to the card.  I used the Cricut Birthday Bash cartridge for the cupcake and cut it at 3.5".  I used the "Coffee & Tea For You & Me" K.Andrew stamp set for the sentiments on this card.  I drew the cupcake face on myself.  I used some Studio G. Glitter on the cherry to really make it sparkle.

For this card I started out with one of my CPS sketches to get an idea of where I wanted to go with it.  Here is the sketch.

If you ever want design ideas for your cards you will find my CPS sketch link at the top right of my site.  I continually ad more CPS sketches each week, so check back there often for updated design ideas.

Leap Day Wedding Congratulations Card CardzTV Challenge Card

This is for a manager at work that is getting married on Leap Day, February 29th.

The inside of the card has the following....

An Irish legend that tells us St. Bridget bitterly complained to St. Patrick that
women were having to wait far too long for a marriage proposal.
So he proclaimed February 29 as the day women could officially
get down on one knee and ask a man to pledge his love eternal.
May Your Love Be Eternal!

Congratulations On Taking The Leap!

Ladybug Birthday Card For The Cooking With Cricut Challenge

The "Ladybug hugs!" stamp is from Mary at CardzTV.

http://www.cookingwithcricut.com/2012/02/challenge-74-birthday-cake-cupcakes.html

I made this card for my niece's 2nd birthday next month.  Her mom is doing a Ladybug theme, which will be SUPER CUTE.  I'm really looking forward to her party.  It will be a lot of fun.

I got the ladybug cut off from the Create A Critter Cricut cartridge.  I welded the ladybug together at 6" on my Gypsy.  I cut out another 6" black ladybug and glued it to the front and pieced the rest of the front of the card like normal.  I did remove the eyes and smile from the face on the cut so I could draw on the cute face myself.  I just used a crayola crayon to color in the cheeks as I don't have any chalk at the moment.  This works pretty good though if you ask me....the crayon cheeks look sweet.  :o)  The cupcake was just from a 50 cent stamp set that I got on clearance from Joann's after Valentine's day.  I colored the cupcake with my gel and glitter pens.  I used Stickles on the herat and antenae.  I LOVE this cute little ladybug card and I know that my niece will love it too.
