Getting Cricky Design Post

Hi this is Julie from ScrapHappy Paper Crafter and I'm excited to get the opportunity to share some of my work using Kristal's stamps.  I just love them because they are so versitile.  Having the ability to mix and match stamp sets gives you so much more creative freedom.

As we get into the summer months I want to share some projects focusing on a few of my favorite stamp sets from K Andrew Designs.

I used the "Pirate Party" and "Pirate Tales and Fish Scales" stamp sets on this card.  I used some craft cardstock for the sand and tore to give it a rugged "sandy" sort of look.  I used some Tim Holtz Tea Die distress ink on the sand a white gel pen to ad some dimension.  The "Pirate Party" stamp set is so much fun because you get to play around with coloring it, which if you check out my blog HERE, you'll find that I LOVE to color digital images.

I just love the "Splashtastic Summer" stamp set!!!  My 2-year old daughter, Meghan loves mermaids, so she tried to take this card when I made it.  She loves to pretend that she's Ariel.  I used the "Once Upon A Princess" Cricut cartridge to make this adorable little mermaid.

I drew the face on myself.  You can see my tutorial below on how to easily draw faces like this.
